Extension of Validity Timeline in HEC Recognized Journals 2017

Mr. Muhammad Ismail, Consultant (Quality Assurance Division), Higher Education Commission, Islamabad issued a letter vide No.9-8/QAD/Min/HEC/2017/37 dated: 28th November, 2017 regarding Extension of Validity Timeline in HEC recognized Journals. The body of the letter is reproduced below:

Dear Vice Chancellor/Rector,

Assalam -0- Alaikum!

Reference to HEC letter No. 9-8/QAD/Min/HEC/2016/539 dated 1st August 2016, keeping in view the feedback received from academia, the competent authority at Higher Education Commission is pleased to extend the validity date of HEC recognized journals for the purpose of faculty appointment/promotion, selection of HEC approved supervisor and for the award of Ph.D. and other such requirements, up to 30th June 2018.
