Extension of Validity Timeline in HEC Recognized Journals 2016

The letter regarding Extension of Validity Timeline in HEC Recognized Journals issued vide No. 9-8/QAD/Min/HEC/2016/539 dated 1st August 2016 is attached below.

Mr. Muhammad Ismail, Consultant (Quality Assurance Division), Higher Education Commission, Islamabad issued a letter vide No. 9-8/QAD/Min/HEC/2016/539 dated 1st August 2016 regarding Extension of Validity Timeline in HEC recognized Journals. The body of the letter is reproduced below:

Dear Vice Chancellor/Rector, 

Assalam-o-Alaikum !

Reference to HEC letter Ref:DG(QAA)/HEC/Journal(Ext)/2015 dated July 6, 2015. 

Keeping in view the feedback received from academia, the competent authority of Higher Education Commission is please to extend, for the last time, the validity date of HEC recognized journals for the purpose of faculty appointment/promotion, for selecting HEC approved supervisor, for the award of PhD and other such requirements up to 30th June 2017.
